This position provides supportive crisis counseling and milieu management to men, women, and veterans who are homeliess; responsible for maintaining the safety and comfort of residents in emergency and transitional shelter facilities, works on-call to fill shifts as requested by other program staff members and Program Coordinator.
On call relief counselors may work when there is a heavy staff load (emergency weather, etc.) or short staff load (regular staff is on vacation, sick, jury duty, etc.). While we cannot guarantee hours - if we know your availability we will put you on our "call first" list.
All work shifts are available, depending on experience.
As a member of the Client Services Office (CSO), the teller greets clients at the teller window to serve their banking needs, deliver their mail, and provide referrals and information about emergency services. The Teller is an important CSO team member who works closely with Case Managers and other Compass Center program staff to give effective and compassionate support to our homeless and low income client population.
