On Call Relief Counselor - All Programs

Various schedules available! Need a 2nd Job? A great way to earn extra money while attending school ~ Do you have experience working in social services?

This position provides supportive crisis counseling and milieu management to men, women, and veterans who are homeliess; responsible for maintaining the safety and comfort of residents in emergency and transitional shelter facilities, works on-call to fill shifts as requested by other program staff members and Program Coordinator.

On call relief counselors may work when there is a heavy staff load (emergency weather, etc.) or short staff load (regular staff is on vacation, sick, jury duty, etc.). While we cannot guarantee hours - if we know your availability we will put you on our "call first" list.

All work shifts are available, depending on experience.

Position Summary:

Responsible for greeting clients who come to use the bathroom and laundry facilities; monitor the clients and ensure they have the supplies they need for personal hygiene; clean facility in accordance with Health Department and agency standards.
