Half of those without homes are men and almost 40% of those men are veterans. Homelessness is not a simple matter, but the causes fall into three broad categories:
Someone who lives on the street is cut off from routines, resources, and support. In our society they are often ignored, or treated as less than human. More than anything they yearn to be part of a loving community, to be someone who is treated with dignity and respect.
