Shelter
The Compass Center operates two overnight shelters:
For Women--Hammond House Shelter
If you are a woman looking for overnight shelter, please contact the Women's Referral Center at 206.770.0156
For Men--First Church Shelter
Stop by the Client Services Office at 210 Alaskan Way (The main Compass Center building) in the morning to check for open beds. If beds are full, there will be a sign posted on the front door.
Banking and Mailing
The Client Services Office (CSO) provides:
- A place to receive mail
- Information and referrals
- Savings accounts
- Direct deposit of benefit and employment checks
- Budgeting assistance

Hygiene
Our Hygiene Center has restrooms, showers, and laundry.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 2:30pm
Last shower at 2:00pm
Last laundry at 12:45pm
A nurse is on site Monday-Thursday from noon-2:00pm.

Transitional Housing
The Pioneer Square Men's Program is clean-and-sober housing. Residents may stay for up to one year and must use the case management services and comply with a curfew. Meals are provided. Cost: 1/3 of income.

Community Transitional Housing
Clean-and-sober houses in northside neighborhoods housing 5-7 men or women.
